Clinique x Refinery29

We worked with Clinique on two separate campaigns for their hero product Moisture Surge. The first brief was around the launch of the moisturiser where they key message was around this being the most hydrating moisturiser on the market and they wanted to create awareness and desirability through education around the importance of well moisturised skin.

I pitched the focus to be on the importance of hydration and the bigger impact it can have on body as well as skin. To bring this to life, I found statistics around hydration and then created a 3D video treatment to create a more tactile and interesting visual read.

This was the best performing campaign that Clinique had ever done.

Clinique Moisture Surge Part 2

The second brief wanted to create cult status for the product by focusing more on the ingredients, the benefits and the uses. We created a short and snappy GIF series that pulled all of these messages out. We pitched to use typography and to collaborate with Hattie Steward to create illustration overlays to bring this to life. Sadly the visual route on the illustration was changed throughout the process, hence you don’t see Hattie’s iconic style below. But we still managed to deliver on the brief and create something that felt fresh and different for Clinique.
